Bloomberg ARM and APA Receives Authorisation from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets

Bloomberg announces today that it has received all necessary regulatory approvals to offer the same range of regulated services to EU and UK clients post-Brexit.

Following the approval of Bloomberg’s Dutch MTF on 15 January 2019, Bloomberg Data Reporting Services B.V. (BDRS B.V.) has received authorisation from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets to operate an Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM) and an Approved Publication Arrangement (APA), for MiFID II regulatory reporting.

Nicholas Bean, Head of Electronic Trading Solutions at Bloomberg and CEO of BDRS B.V., said: "We are pleased to announce that we will operate trade reporting services in Amsterdam in addition to our recently authorised Multilateral Trading Facility. Bloomberg’s Dutch ARM and APA will ensure a seamless transition into the post-Brexit environment, for clients in the EU who wish to continue to use our trade and transaction reporting services to satisfy their MiFID II requirements.”

Bloomberg’s Dutch ARM and APA will operate alongside its existing UK APA and ARM, and provide services on a cross-border basis from Amsterdam throughout the EU under a MiFID II passport. These services will be integrated with Bloomberg’s Regulatory Hub (RHUB) and will be available for testing in advance of 29 March 2019, to streamline client onboarding.
